Isn't it sad that he can say anything but the Queen has no opportunity to reply?


The Queen is a loyal servant of the Country and the Commonwealth. Why is this pathetic git allowed to rant and to be reported in his self serving diatribe?Ben Elton's rant against the Queen.?
It shows disrespect for the feelings of other human beings, but into days world with the freedom of speech we all enjoy, people can get away with walking on others feelings and get away with it, I personally would never say on a national tv programme insult any one, knowing it would get back to the individuals concerned in my rant and definitely hurt the feelings on those individuals, the royals in this case, I like to sleep well at night.Ben Elton's rant against the Queen.?
I have problems with the whole idea of the concept of a monarchy in this day and age, but not the Queen as a person who has done a good job given the circumstances. Ben Elton is anything but a pathetic git, an incredibly gifted and aware writer.

The royals should be exposed for what they really are - which is - the opposite of the romantic schoolgirl view of the mentally challenged.

Hoorah for Ben Elton,,he is probably only saying what most of us feel,personally I don't give a stuff about any of the royals especially the queen,,and as for mr knowitall,,there are very few people on this planet who earn or have as much money as queen elizabeth
