I doubt it because it will probably hurt sales instead of helping them. Was Michael Richards rant, a perfectly timed publicity stunt for Sienfeld Season 7?
No, if anything I would think it would hurt sales.
If so it was tasteless.

NO, no! He is way to embarrassed and this could most likely end his career. Everybody knows he is a very serious actor and he just could not take the rejection of the hecklers. He has never even been able to watch himself on tv show. He is terribly sensitive about his acting and criticism.
Absolutely not. (Ask anyone at Sony.)

Actors receive *very* little in the way of residuals for DVD sales.

But, it should be noted, that sales of Season 7 of ';Seinfeld'; are soaring.
The Sienfeld bunch (I have never seen the show-honest) makes soooo much money that they do not need publicity. These are some of the wealthiest entertainers ever with their residuals. No there is no conspiracy here, the guy aparantly just lost his cool because he was getting no respect. I do not know why these people can not just fade away and move on. The man obviously got lucky with the gig on Sienfeld he should count his lucky stars and be humble. I know nothing of this man and did not even know his name until last week.
No, the hecklers really pissed him off. Watch it, that is real raw emotion.
